Auxiliary
Services
Holy Trinity School receives state money
which provides for auxiliary personnel and services. These staff
members, employed through Avon Local Schools, provide services to the
students at Holy Trinity School in the modular unit located on the
property. Through these state funds, a school Nurse, a Speech
Pathologist, a school Psychologist, two (2) Learning Disabilities
teachers, a Health Aide and a clerk are employed. A speech program provides complete
diagnostics in the following areas: articulation, language (receptive
and/or expressive), stuttering, auditory perception and voice problems
(remediation only after ontological evaluation). A student may be referred for a routine
speech/language screening (done by the Speech Pathologist) by a
parent/guarding, the classroom teacher, school nurse, or family
physician. Routing hearing screenings are provided by the Speech
Pathologist and the school nurse. Due process procedures are
following before diagnostics and/or speech therapy are initiated. Where learning disabilities diagnosed
through psychological testing and conferences can be helped by a
Learning Disabilities teacher, these services are available. |
