Background and Interests: Ms. Slaght teaches 4th and 5th Grade Science at Holy Trinity. She is a graduate of the University of Dayton, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and served as both a student ambassador and campus tour guide. Her time at the university also included student teaching in 4th grade, where she developed a passion for engaging students through curiosity-driven learning.


Her professional background includes serving as a lead preschool teacher at The Goddard School, where she created and implemented curriculum for children ages 2–9 and partnered closely with families. She has also worked as a summer camp instructor with PALS for Healing, where she facilitated art and dance therapy for children at Laura’s Home, a shelter for women and children. In addition, she founded EMpire Princess Parties, a children’s entertainment company where she designed original programming and performed for groups ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale events.


Ms. Slaght brings a creative, hands-on approach to teaching science that encourages exploration, curiosity, and active learning. She is excited to share her energy, compassion, and dedication with her students, helping them see the wonder of God’s creation through science while growing both academically and spiritually.
