Background and Interests: Mrs. Nowak became passionate about education after facing the challenges of ADHD as a student and wanting to make learning more accessible and enjoyable for others. She deeply values creating safe, structured, and engaging classrooms where students feel supported and inspired to learn.
Mrs. Nowak brings a love of performing arts into the classroom, using humor, storytelling, and creativity to make lessons memorable and meaningful. She has taught and substituted across public and Catholic schools in both Michigan and Ohio, including developing curriculum in the West Bloomfield School District, long-term substitute teaching at Lakewood Catholic Academy, and volunteering as a PSR teacher at local parishes. Whether it’s creating silly impressions, making up songs to help students remember math facts, or turning history lessons into captivating stories, she loves finding ways to keep students engaged.
Outside of school, Mrs. Nowak enjoys supporting her two sons’ activities — William, a nationally ranked rower at Saint Edward High School, and Jamie, a proud Holy Trinity Eagle involved in flag football and track. Mrs. Nowak feels grateful to be part of a school community that shares her passion for faith, learning, and building strong foundations for children’s futures.
